Ever since I could remember I have always been fascinated with the physique. More specifically the crazy transformations that I would see on TV when they would play those informercials all day long. No joke, I would stay home from school faking like I was sick, and I would literally watch informercials of Bowflex, or the Ab energizer belt or anything that had to do with fitness or changing the physique. For the day I first picked up a dumbbell I had this goal to have my own crazy transformation one day, so I started researching the sport of bodybuilding and the methods behind shedding the physique of body fat. In my eyes the human body was an experiment, putting it through different tests and conditions to manipulate it however I wanted. As a freshman in college I was your typical gym rat trying to look the part, but with no real understanding of the methods or reasoning behind manipulating the physique.  All I knew was that I wanted to obtain that level of condition even just once or at least find out if it was possible for people like me.  I wasn’t one of those kids who had a six pack year round but I was still very athletic but I wanted to look like one of those athletes in the infomercials, ripped to shreds. This idea  intrigued me to the point of obsession. I loved it so much that I became the Co-Founder and President of “The University of Oregon Bodybuilding Club”.

Bodybuilding was everything to me now.  It consumed my everything thought because there was so much to learn. During my four years studying human physiology at the U of O, I would routinely put off homework for my own independent research on nutrition, which was even more appealing because I was minoring in chemistry and the two seemed to go hand in hand.  Fast forward to 2014, college degree in hand and no plan for my future, I decided to move back to San Diego.

     At this point I was unclear on the route that i wanted to take, but i knew it would be within the health and fitness industry.  I had this crazy idea in my head that if I became internet famous like all my favorite YouTube celebs, I wouldn't have to get a 9-5 job like everyone else.  Crazy right? Truthfully that's one of the reasons why I decided to create a YouTube channel under the name "Local Fit". From here i could share my information on bodybuilding, nutrition, chemistry and physiology with the world in a way that they could understand and relate to. Misinformation in this industry spreads like wildfire, and it does so in a way that displays a complete lack of originality and this drove me crazy.  I needed to have a voice to speak against all this toxic and repetitive information and i needed it to reflect myself not anyone else's style or ideas.  Local Fit was my voice, and through it people identified with my transparency..  It wasn't long before people started contacting me for help with their diet. What started as a means to identify myself would rapidly expand into an exclusive Competition and Lifestyle Teams not only in San Diego but around the country.

 Putting out informational content like this video i did on BCAA's now with over 77,000 views, would ultimately give my channel the exposure needed to grow into what it is today. 

In this episode I am basically showing you the simplest way to calculate your BMR and to adjust your macro nutrients according to your weight loss goals. This is the very first and most important step that anyone should take if they want to efficiently burn fat and minimize muscle loss.

      I established Local Fit as a business entity and took on my first client in 2015.  Since then I've been developing a one of a kind customized nutrition and training program for athletes and fitness enthusiasts from all over the country.  My exclusive online spreadsheets and video tutorials  have been structurally designed to do one thing, to develop the BEST physique possible with an emphasis on body fat loss. I do not believe in getting average results, which is why I refuse to offer you an average weight loss program. It has been formatted in a way that will test your limits both physically and mentally inside and outside the gym.  The standard I've set with this program is to the same standard that's been set for my clients. This is why Local Fit yields the BEST results, some of which I have shared under the "Transformations" link below.  Today Local Fit stands as one of San Diego's premiere competition and lifestyle teams, not because I knew more than anyone, but because I dreamed bigger.  If you set high expectations for yourself, you can still fail and be ahead of the curve.

 My point is that you should never settle for anything average unless that what you're expecting in return.  If you want something bad enough, go after it.  Don't let anyone stand in the way of your goals, and who cares if they think you’re crazy, because guess what? You probably are. I dedicated my entire life to researching and practicing the methods of fat loss so that you don't have to. What took me 28 years to achieve, can simply take you 6-12 weeks.  Now, i'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it will be worth it.
